Mentalists learn different techniques in which they use their mind. There are many known techniques and these techniques are so vast that people has written books on each of them. Few famous techniques that they can perform are mind control, telepathy, precognition, psycho kinesis and hypnosis.
Mentalists learn to control people minds. It is often related to controlling and changing the thoughts of people which are often used for unethical purposes for example one can brainwash, mind abuse and persuade other to do what he wants them to do. This technique is highly in use by the fundamentalists and criminal minded people so that they make other do what they want to which protect them from being caught but is highly dangerous for those innocent people who become victim of it.

It has been claimed be few of them that they can communicate with the spirits of dead, angels and demons. They call this ability Mediumship. Some other interesting abilities are that they can control some physical system or energy and also the movement. Some mentalists say that they can predict the future and there are many of them who have made it their profession. They can also find out the information of a person’s physical location.
